Earth Day Cleanup and Monitoring Aquatic Park

Join us for our Earth Day cleanup and water monitoring survey event at Aquatic Park, Berkeley CA

With support from Ava Energy and the Mary Crocker Trust.

Celebrate our own hound shark and bat ray nursery site and help us monitor, and protect, this beautiful marine park.

Join our Aquatic Park Stewards team testing water quality, cleaning up marine debris and helping maintain the lagoon and park.

On Earth Day we are partnering with BASK kayakers, Berkeley Paddling and Rowing Club,  BORP and Waterside Works to cleanup on the water!  Staging on Bolivar near the Kenneth Hayes Boat House. Please park on the road and not in the BPRC lot.

Signed WAIVER Required.

Launch sites on the north side at the Berkeley Paddling and Rowing Club and at the Berkeley Waterski Ramp.

(For liability only club members or those signed up with BWPC, BORP or Waterside Works will be allowed to access the water.)

Put ins available at the BPRC dock (parking along bolivar).

Note- entrance to south end of park from Downtown Berkeley is off 67th and Shellmound Street- NOT Ashby Avenue.

 

What to bring: we will have some equipment to share but if you have a bucket, picker and gloves, bring them please.

WHAT TO BRING
Layered clothing
sunscreen and hat
sunglasses
reusable water or drink container
lunch or snacks if desired- no single use plastic please!
sandals, sneakers of beach shoes.
Cleanup supplies if you have them
Gather reusable cleanup supplies from home, like a bucket and gardening gloves. Cleanup supplies, as well as liability waivers, will be available at each cleanup site if needed.
Show up at our cleanup site at the designated time and day. Check in with on-site cleanup staff and start cleaning
